End Human Trafficking

A number as large as 27 million is nearly impossible to believe.  But that’s how many souls are currently being enslaved for the illegal sex trade or forced labor around the world.  As the A21 Campaign, says, “even one is too many.”

In our modern era, we view slavery as something from the distant past.  To the contrary, more humans are enslaved today than 100 years ago.

Lest you think this is a third-world problem, the United States and Europe are epicenters for human trafficking.  “This is primarily an issue for the lower class and illegal immigrants, right?”  Wrong.  In the United States alone, there are more than 100,000 children each year forced into the sex trade.  Middle class girls are being taken from shopping malls in the heartland of America in plain daylight.

The horror of human trafficking cannot be overstated.  What the women and men victimized by this crime endure is beyond comprehension.  For the sake of our more tender readers, I will spare the details in this blog, but I encourage you to read the information in the links provided below.

It is time that we end this scourge.

You can play a huge role with very little effort.  It’s a situation where you CAN make a difference and it’s worth your time.

There are two primary organizations in America and Europe focused on this issue.

In the US the leading organization is the Polaris Project.

In Europe the leading organization is the A21 Campaign.

If you would like to make a difference in Europe, go here for the same information.

At a minimum, Tweet this page or share it on Facebook so that more people can be drawn into awareness.

We can make a difference.  Do something today.
